Recycling

Many items are made from paper, like, Toilet roll, Cardboard, and many other household objects, and without recycling items like Toilet roll, and Cardboard wouldn’t exist.

The Paper is collected and loaded onto vans, it is then sorted into what is recyclable and not.

The recyclable paper is feed under a long strong magnet which plucks staples and other metals out the paper.

It is then pushed into a giant blender which mashes the bits of paper into a mush which is ready for making materials.

A item that is made out of paper is a grey insulation which keeps houses warm.

What happens when glass is recycled?

• It all starts when you throw glass into the large steel containers.
• Workers sort the glass into different colours.
• Then they clean and then crush them into shards called cullet
• The shards of glass called cullet are transported into a manafacturing plant mixed with minarals that come out the ground like soda ash, sand and limestone.
• it finishes mixing and the cullet and all is fed into a furnace and is melted into a thick gloopy liquidafter being flamed at heat of 2800 F.
• the melted glass is poured into moulds and blown with air after that it is moulded to its final shape it will become a wine glass or a bottle of orange juice.
• it is then removed cooled and inspected then shipped to a company for whatever of their needs
