The lunik II was the first probe to hit the moon, the soviet rocket colided close to the famous landmark the sea of tranquility.
The rocket was carrying 860lb (391kg) of testing equiptment of which was a:

(Magnetometer (magnetic fields)
Geiger counter (radiation environment)
Micrometeoroid detector
Scintillation counter (magnetospheric studies))

The lutnik was travelling at 7 miles per second when it came it contact with it’s target it was at enough speed to avoid the moons natural gravitation.
The onboard equiptment was carried to measure the belts of radiation and the magnetic field around the moon.
The first rocket the Lutnik I was launched into space but it missed careering past the moon and continuing into space.

We walked to the park were a event was being held we walked across a bridge and took photos of baby ducks and most surprisingly near some large boulders frogs and frogspawn we took photos.

In the middle of the park was a stall for nature, free Owl pellet dissection, Owl pellets are not poo they are regurgitated food. I separated fluff and bones and identified what they were, I found two field vole skulls many arm and leg bones and tons of hip bones, we checked what rodent they were by pulling the tiny teeth out with tweezers looking at the undersides of the teeth and matching the pattern with a one on a chart my brother was unlucky he only found small bones until he found the first shrew of the day. We also got our picture in the paper and also in the skegness website (First photo at the top). http://www.skegnessuk.org/Skegness_Easter_Bank_Holiday_photos.html
The dissecting was fun and enjoyable and also a bonus we got our photo in the paper, most people didn’t even join in with the fun just turned away disgusted a man at one of the stalls told me that some girls ran away screaming.

I went to Natureland Seal Sanctuary

Seals
The main attraction was the seals, they span twisted and darted around amazingly, there was seven seals in a large water-filled Penn, they were see-able through a large pane of clear glass, they swam around and twirled in front of me disappearing and reappearing every so often. The Seals last feed of the day was interesting a member of the staff stepped inside the Penn and fed them it was intriguing how they fed and the speed they reached when they raced after the fish that was thrown too far from them as they vigorously flapped after the fish drop of water splashed out the tank and rain upon us. They played games and a seal hit a plastic ball knocking bowling pins down one at a time everyone applauded the seal when he did, the seal also hit the ball into a small football net.

Baby Seals
They had baby seals inside a smaller Penn they had three and they were more inactive than the adult seals and only one stayed in the water, they got more excited when they received the last feed of the day. In a hut is a seal hospital a large glass pane and chambers luckily they were all empty and no seals were injured.

Photographer: Me!!, age:10

Penguins
In a small round Penn live five little penguins, they were on a square concrete platform, with about 2ft deep pool of water surrounding it, the penguin’s didn’t look very hungry at the last feed of the day, one waddled up to the member of staff, ate about five fish then left, most of the fish thrown out weren’t eaten.

Photographer: My Mum

Koi Fish
They had a pond full of Koi fish very beautiful and long, they have different patterns and sizes but their very slow, by the side of the pond was a machine, for 20p it dispenses a handful of fish food. There was these two ducks who was circling the pond above the fish. I put a small portion of fish food in the water when the duck comes racing over and gobbles the floating fish food quickly, I try scaring it away but all fails, I distract the duck then feed the fish with the last of the food, at last one of the fish surfaces sucks up part of the food then is interrupted by the other duck, it races along and gets there in time to reap the rewards and gobbles it all up. So realistically we spent 20 pence on a duck (They need to make none floating fish food ).

Photographer: My Big Brother

Floral Palace
The Floral Palace was one of my top favourites, it was considerably hot to keep the tropical plants alive, it was very Eco-friendly, almost everywhere it sprang to life with birds, insects, butterflies, and scrambling around the ground Quail, the plants went to a wide range from daffodils and pansies to Cactus and Cacti, the layout was great and the small exotic butterflies enlightened the house. The experience was grand and the Floral Palace I would strongly suggest . There was three sections each hotter than the other. In the second section sat a sleeping Chilean Flamingo head nestled in it’s feathers aside of it was two ducks female and a male heads cocked alert. The area was filled with air-born birds like Sparrows, Tropical Finches, and other birds. The area’s were widely spaced with benches with memorial plaques drilled into the frames.

Photographer: My Mum

Chipmunks
A large cage covered in leaves, long branches, and plants, two Chipmunks was residents of the cage, one Chipmunk was right in front of us scratching himself, the other was up high on a steel box drilled into the wall, I hadn’t noticed him immediately because he was in sleeping and all that was visible was a fury ball . The cage was fairly big for two small chipmunks, the setup was good and perfect for a chipmunks habitat.
————————————————————————————————————
Reptile House
The Reptile house was quite dark only small lights lit the place up, in small tanks are amphibians, and reptiles, like; Terrapin crocodiles and more.

Gecko
In a small tank was two colourful Gecko we was watching it intrigued when it liked it’s own eye interesting but disgusting the other gecko was hiding behind a rock looking left and right.

Terrapins
in a Penn filled with water pouring water was four terrapins swimming around at first I thought they were turtles but then found that Terrapins looked like Turtles. Turtle, or Terrapin, or Turtle, or Terrapin.

Crocodiles
Below a bridge that you walk over was two crocodiles both were long and not very see-able because they were lying still, the Penn was not very big for the crocodiles because they swim a lot.

Tarantula
In a glass container was one Tarantula sat motionless behind a web it spun on the glass, in an other glass container was a second Tarantula
————————————————————————————————————
Other Information
Souvenirs are available from the Gift Shop

We went to the Chinese State Circus.

We got to the Chinese state circus ten minutes earlier then actually showing, So we sat and waited. I went with my Mum, Dad, Brother and Big Brother we got the middle-ish of the front row When the show started the lights went out, And to my surprise the
Monkey King came out cavorting around with a dance cartwheeling and backfliping, he had a wooden staff with decoration the monkey king was my favourite , As he performed a commentator guided us around the Chinese tradition. A group of performers did the famous hoop diving with a giant high sized set of hoops, They were cast for the performers to dive through the large circles they did many different styles like back flipping and launching each other through. The Chinese lion dance is a reenactment of the Chinese monks lion taming they dance around acting like lions In costumes glittered with exotic bright colours and loud bells they have flailing bit’s of material when they jump. My favourite bits are when they blink their large wide eyes and snap up and down their jaws they were impressive and athletic extremely when they balanced on a red colourful massive ball and rolled up and down a sea saw (My personal favourite). There was two men in them and they were big There were even small one man lions (aka Cubs), they rolled jumped roared and danced around and were very amusing. The happy cooks was one of my favourite they did acting while spinning plates on tables. One even bit a wooden spoon then put a another piece of cutlery like a ladle then spun a plate on top it was very impressive, they through a plastic helicopter blade and then through the audience it shot back into his hand and he smiled he pushed on a table and it collapsed then shot back up and he caught the folded table. Then there was the girl with 100 faces with a swipe of her caped arms her mask disappears and expression changed with a colour per swipe it had sad, happy, angry, neutral, and surprised which was amazing.<img alt="The Woman with 100 faces" src="http://www.bigfeature.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/face-changing-artist.jpg"
Their was pot jugglers which catapulted terracotta jars from each others head’s and to their hands and feet to their necks the pot jugglers were one of my favourite they balanced back flipped and dived to catch the pot (But because We was in the front row I was a bit wary for them to drop a pot and a serious injury is inflicted). The Last show was the Chinese dragon dance and performers ran around twirling two dragons on the stage the lights went off and an illumines dragon glided through the dark controlled by people holding sticks in black controlling the Dragon <img alt="Chinese Dragon Dance" src="http://www.bigfeature.org/wp-content/uploads/2007/02/dragon-dance.thumbnail.jpg" width="100" length="100"

I was walking with my mum and dad going back from a walk to the duck pond when on the cycle path my dad saw a black caterpillar nice ‘n’ fat with orange fur it was wriggling from the grassy side of the path my Dad got a leaf and put it in front of the Caterpillar and it crawled on it immediately we heard a click snip click sound from the caterpillar as it it slowly munched through the leaf my Dad and Mum pulled up grass and plants with the right leaves it didn’t eat the grass so if we took it home we could pull some up from our back garden and feed it but the stuff don’t grow in my garden i pulled off my NO FEAR baseball cap and put the caterpillar in the cap then put leaves in it the moment we dropped it in the cap it rolled up in a ball we couldn’t take it home or it would die so we dropped it in a side were it was hidden and plenty of grass to eat it couldn’t be found or crawl out.
