I’ve been writing a lot of Poems recently especially LumberJack Poems and this is another addition to the collection:
Other Lumberjacks chop wood
And I tell you now they do it good
But the least likely thing that you will see
Was on saturday the 1st at half past three
A Lumber jack Hugging a Tree
My eyes were amazed as he stood in the way
Out in the open in the light of day
He was a eco-warrior he stood tall
With his lumberjack dugres and overalls
He dropped his axe and said to all
“I will not let this good tree fall”
“Look past the cash and the pay”
“On this brilliant bright sunny day!”
He pointed to a single egg in a nest
“This little baby is the best”
“They are all I need dont you see”
“If you kill these birds your killing me”
A man slams down his axe and his vest
To join the eco-warrior on his quest
He says “Listen to him he is right”
“Heed his advice do not fight”
For these trees are living too
You would not kill me you I would not kill you
This is murder I am through
The others Join we link each arm
I will not let you do any harm
To this beautiful bright lovely tree
The mother birds come back dont you see
But it doesn’t care the bird thinks hes a threat
Like the lumberjack it’s task is set
To neutralise the opposing foe
Which is the LumberJack who dosent know
It Swoops and scratches at his eyes
“Take Down the Tree” the Lumberjack cries
They take down the tree in a splinter spay
The bird flies off with the egg far away
He looked to his group with a shocked expression
Confused by the mother birds aggresion
“What was that, what was it for”
“Well I can gladly say I wont do that any more”
Hope you Enjoy
